Creamy Fettuccine Skillet

Ingredients
- 12 oz Mueller's Fettuccine, uncooked
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 can (14.5 oz) chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, at room temperature and cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break uncooked pasta in half and add to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently 2 minutes or until pasta is coated evenly in the melted butter and is just starting to turn golden brown.
- Add broth. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 11 to 12 minutes or until pasta is cooked, stirring frequently.
- Stir in milk, cream cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cook, uncovered, 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce is smooth and cheese is melted.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Use vegetable broth in place of chicken broth, if desired. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder along with the seasonings, if desired.
