Ingredients

  • 12 oz Mueller's Fettuccine, uncooked
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, at room temperature and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break uncooked pasta in half and add to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently 2 minutes or until pasta is coated evenly in the melted butter and is just starting to turn golden brown.
  2. Add broth. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 11 to 12 minutes or until pasta is cooked, stirring frequently.
  3. Stir in milk, cream cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cook, uncovered, 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce is smooth and cheese is melted.
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Use vegetable broth in place of chicken broth, if desired. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder along with the seasonings, if desired.
