Fettuccine Alfredo

A lighter version of Fettuccine Alfredo. Margarine and light cream make for fewer calories with the same great taste. A hint of nutmeg finishes the dish.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Mueller's Fettuccine
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) half and half or light cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Directions

    1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
    2. Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium heat; add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Heat through.
    3. Serve immediately with hot fettuccine and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
