  1. I’ve been making this recipe for years now. Always a hit with family & friends. As noted, let the lasagna sit for 15-20 minutes after removing from the oven. Otherwise it will be too soupy when you cut it. Great & easy recipe!

    1. Patti – You have a great eye, thank you for catching that. The recipe calls for 6 1/2 cups of sauce, or 52 ounces, so that was a typo in our recipe. We’ll get it fixed right away!

  2. I’ve been making traditional lasagna every Christmas for about 10 years. This year I decided to try this “no boil pasta” recipe with a little apprehension since I didn’t test make it first. I must say it turned out great, better than any recipe I used where I boiled the pasta! My son said it was the best I’d made also. Note, one thing I did was add a 1/2 TBS. of Italian herbs to the pasta sauce. Thank you Mueller’s!

  3. Exceptionally good, better than any I’ve ever made. The only thing I did different was to add a 1/2 TBS. of Italian herbs to the pasta sauce.

    1. Hi Myriam, We update our packaging for a variety of reasons and occasionally change out the recipes to feature something new. We make sure to have the other recipe on our website, so you can always find it here. Thanks!

      1. The grocery stores I frequent don’t carry your no boil noodles. Did you discontinue making them? I’m bummed. Would a different variety work? 😢

  4. Do you use special noodles or just layer the regular Mueller’s noodle uncooked? I do like the Mueller’s recipe the best.

    1. Hi Lorie, This recipe calls for our regular Mueller’s Lasagna, so there are no special varieties necessary. We’re glad you like the recipe!

  5. So much easier than dealing with boiled lasagna noodles! And it guarantees that the lasagna isn’t too watery. I’m making this for dinner (at family request), and throwing some steamed kale in there just because.

  6. Best lasagna I’ve found to date! EASY, delicious, and yes, can prepare ahead and put in the fridge for dinnertime. It’s the only recipe I would ever use now. Thank you, Mueller’s!

  7. I have used this recipe many times. I do modify mine a tiny bit….I add 8 ounces of both Ricotta and Cottage Cheese instead of what the recipe actually calls for. I like the variety of all the cheeses in this dish. I always use the no boil Lasagna noodles….and no one would ever know that Mueller’s took all the work out of it! This Lasagna is a loved dish by kids and grown ups! This recipe is even easy enough for my sister. She made it one evening for her family for dinner and it was an instant hit!! She is sold on this easy lasagna as much as I am. Thanks Muller’s!

  8. Best and easiest lasagne I’ve ever made!! Absolutely my go to recipe!! Only change I make is omit the parsley and add 1/2 -1 tsp of Italian seasoning to the cheese mixture!!

  9. Best recipe and so easy! I am very happy you have this On the Web site I found it on the back of the box the first time and haven’t made it in a long time and it wasn’t the same recipe on the back of the box I just came to your site and I am so happy! Dinner done!

  10. I love this recipe. So glad I found it on your website. .every time my daughter (in Ga.) Makes it, she calls me from the grocery store..since it’s not on the box anymore. I sent this to her..now maybe she’ll remember she has the recipe. The only thing I do different is add Italian spices (make my own sauce) and pepperoni.

  11. My family and friends LOVE this recipe. I’ve been making it for years. It’s so easy to make and delicious every time.

  12. This recipe with a slight change has been a hit for me. I first made it while single, 30 years old and living in an apartment. The family loved it. I just made it again tonight, married, 54 years old and living in a house.. Altogether, I’ve made it about 6 times. I love it.

  13. I have a question, not a review: can you assemble and freeze this lasagna with the no boil noodles, uncooked? I assembled it and froze to be defrosted and cooked Christmas Eve (11 days from now). Thanks for any responses.

  14. Hi, has anyone ever prepared a lasagna with no boil lasagna noodles and NOT cooked it-but froze it uncooked and then cooked it and it came out good? Please let me know. Thanks, E

  15. I made it once a again and it was an instant hit. Will make it tomorrow night for our other son and his wife.they can hardly wait.me too.A very simple and delicious recipe.YUM YUM.Linda Kerpsie in Acton Ca.

  16. Outstanding! I forgot to buy parsley so am using fresh basil instead. .I knew recipe called for something ‘green.’ 🙂
.It’s baking right now, so we’ll see . . . I doubt the basil will hurt the flavor any. Thanks for this great, easy recipe.
A friend makes it with half hot sausage; half ground beef with uncooked noodles. Then she freezes it UNCOOKED for another day.
She sets it out to thaw the day before baking. It’s out-of-this-world delicious. So you CAN prepare it, freeze it, thaw it, and finally bake it weeks later!!

  17. I used this recipe when I was a teenager cooking for my family. I dont live in the US anymore but thank goodness for the internet so I can find it. Still as delicious 30+ years on…

  18. Great recipe that I’ve been using for years!!!! Everyone always comments on how good it is and wants to know my secret. They are surprised when I tell them it’s the old recipe off the Mueller’s box. I’m making this year for Christmas dinner. If I double the recipe do I need to change the amount of bake time? Or do you suggest making 2 pans rather than one large pan of lasagna?

  19. My mom used it when we were growing up, right off the back of the box. I make my own sauce now which makes this recipe amazing! It’s the only recipe I use. Been using it for over 30 years or so. Thanks Mueller’s!

  20. Finally, finally, finally!!! A recipe in my life that gets everything right: the proportions, the ingredients, the cooking time, the arrangement, and the fabulous outcome. I have spent so many hours and dollars on recipes that fail time after time. It leaves you wondering “why can’t I cook?” Then a recipe like this one comes along and makes your day and turns you into a winner at the dinner table. Crown jewel recipe award to Mueller’s pasta.

  21. This was the best lasagna I ever made. I substituted ricotta for the cottage cheese. I also added an extra egg, and used shredded parmesean and mozzeralla pearls layered on top of the ricoota/egg mixture instead of stirring the cheese into the ricotta mixture. No more hot, torn, wet, lasagna noodles. Thank you, Mueller’s!

  22. I’ve been using this recipe for almost 40 years now and it has always been my favorite. I use six Italian cheeses in my version and always use Italian sausage. It always turns out perfectly! Thanks Muellers for the best recipe ever!!!

  23. I’m confused about one thing. It says to use a half box of noodles but that would not come close to filling the pan. I’ve been making this recipe for years and just noticed this difference in the recipe. On a side note – my whole family has always loved this recipe, and it is the only one I ever make.

  24. I started making this recipe about 25 years ago when my husband wanted to become a vegetarian by replacing the meat with chopped spinach. I have made this recipe with meat and/or spinach ever since, but we actually prefer the spinach lasagna. Either way, this is a family favorite.

  25. Just like Mom used to make, except the getting burned cooking noodles! You can adjust it all sorts of ways. I use a 10oz box of gluten free oven ready pasta, Barilla or Mueller’s both work fine. Seems to be more broken ones in the Barilla though, from personal experience.
